let me ask those who just happen to come across my this post, is 'face' really that important to a person? yup no doubt that face is important to a person but that doesn't mean everytime face is important.

if face is that important, you can really start doubting ur own self confidence. it is good to note that certain situations is ok to be afraid of throwing face but some situations its nothing to be afraid of. for example, if you are on the ramp doing some skit for publicity purposes, you should know that you risk throwing ur face away and being embarrased in front of others. since you know already, you should really take this as a challenge. because in order for the publicity to be good, you have to be thick skinned. by worrying about throwing ur face, it means u are not confident about yourself. if you yourself is not confident, how do you expect others who are looking at you be confident or convinced by what u publicised to them?.
its the same for many things in life. i may not have gone through much in life yet. but i do know that some of the things i went through really portray this thinking. i did a skit with yihan before on the ramp for gradnite publicity. no doubt i was quite scared because i had never done annoucement in my life before. but i took it as a challenge and did it. in fact people laughed as well. yea laughed. it may seem like throwing away your face. but just dun care about that. the important thing is to send your message across to the mass crowd. they laughed meant that they are listening and they did get the message and that is to publicise gradnite. its the same for cheering. cheering for own school's any team going for competition. cheer with your heart and soul. dun have to worry about face. nobody is going to fault you when you are cheering your own school hard. they know and can see your efforts. who knows? they may be inspired by you and cheer along with you as well. its a matter of gaining their respect by showing them how to do the right thing.

i still remember the time i go for campaigning of student council last year. i never done any public speaking before. its a challenge and a really good experience for me. yup and this is for the 8th student council candidates and also my mentees during the campaigning period: if you are afraid of throwing your face when doing campaigning. nah. no chance. u have to be confident. i was scared. yup. but i knw i have to be confident and learn to speak up more. it doesnt mean that you have to be really good in speaking. its how sincere you are in campaigning. its how badly you wan to get into council. many people may think you wan get into council because of the usually good testimonial. but tink again, getting into council maybe the biggest change in life u can get. its a really good learning experience. for me i joined council because i wan to learn and try new stuffs. are you willing to learn? to all 8th council elects, all the best for your campaigning:)
